Village at Meridian Expansion Openings: What's Open and Next

On the morning of Friday, Sept. 25, shoppers were already lined up outside Alo along the Eagle Road side of The Village at Meridian when the doors opened. It was Idaho's first Alo store, and the first tenant to open in the center's new expansion, two weeks before the official celebration. CenterCal's Hugh Crawford explained the early start this way: "We've got a group of stores opening on the 9th, but Alo was ready and said we're ready to go on the 25th, so we let them open."

That early opening sets the pattern for the whole expansion. This fall, the new buildings will mostly be places to shop during the day. The big restaurants, with their patios, steaks and wine lists, haven't been given opening dates yet. CenterCal expects the full Phase II to be finished in February 2027. So if you live nearby, you'll get the expansion in installments over about five months, and the October version won't look much like the finished one.

The order of openings as of Sept. 30

The center calls the expansion six new buildings totaling nearly 80,000 square feet, all of it leased. Earlier news coverage put the size anywhere from about 85,000 to 100,000 square feet. The nearly 80,000 figure is CenterCal's own and its most recent. Here is where each announced tenant stands today, based on the center's releases and BoiseDev's reporting.

Tenant What it is Latest reported timing
Alo Activewear, first Idaho store Open since Sept. 25
Tecovas Western wear Soft launch Oct. 1; grand opening party Oct. 9–11
Kendra Scott Jewelry and watches Oct. 9
Gorjana Jewelry, first Idaho store Oct. 9
Paris Baguette Bakery-café Target Oct. 28
Flower Child Fast-casual restaurant "Coming weeks"
Solidcore Fitness studio "Coming weeks"
Vuori Activewear "Coming weeks"
7th Avenue Modular sofas, first Idaho showroom "Coming weeks"
Tempur-Pedic Mattresses To be determined
Apple, Williams Sonoma Retail No date announced
The Capital Grille, Culinary Dropout, Postino Restaurants No date announced
Pottery Barn Home décor 2027

One timing conflict is worth knowing about. Idaho News 6 reported on Sept. 25 that Tecovas, Kendra Scott and Gorjana would open "next Friday," which would be Oct. 2. The center's own release and BoiseDev both put Kendra Scott and Gorjana at Oct. 9, with Tecovas soft-launching on Oct. 1. BoiseDev adds that all dates are subject to change because of construction.

Dinner comes later

Look down the table and you'll see the dining tenants clustered near the bottom. Paris Baguette is the only food tenant with a specific target date, and it already slipped. It was originally planned for the grand opening and now aims for Oct. 28. Flower Child is listed with Solidcore, Vuori and 7th Avenue as expected "in the coming weeks," with no individual dates.

The three restaurants most likely to change how the center gets used after dark have no announced dates:

  • Culinary Dropout is the first one in Idaho, an upscale gastropub planned at 7,000 square feet with two large covered patios.
  • The Capital Grille is also new to the market, with dry-aged steaks, seafood and a wine list.
  • Postino, as BoiseDev describes it, serves wine, bruschetta, charcuterie, paninis, salads and brunch.

They join a center that already has North Italia, Lululemon, Anthropologie and Evereve. So the restaurant expansion is real. It just runs on a different calendar than the shops. Idaho News 6 reported that most of the expansion's stores should open before the holidays. Nobody has given the same kind of estimate for the larger restaurants.

There's one more food opening on a separate track. Over Easy plans to take over the former Blaze Pizza space at The Village, with a target of early 2027. It isn't part of the 16-name expansion roster, but it's coming in the same window as the expansion's last stretch.

Where the new buildings sit

The expansion fills the west side of The Village along Eagle Road. The Idaho Statesman describes it as lining Eagle Road, and earlier site descriptions place the frontage between Fairview Avenue and Longwing Lane. To get your bearings from the older part of the center, BoiseDev's reporting on permits puts the Williams Sonoma store southwest of the existing Urban Outfitters.

The Village says customer parking in its lots is free, including ADA-accessible spaces. BoiseDev's project tracker notes that earlier plans for residential apartments and parking were dropped from the project.

How the first two weeks of October line up

The opening wave lands on top of downtown Meridian's last busy stretch of the outdoor season. If you're planning around both, the calendar looks like this:

  1. Thursday, Oct. 1: Tecovas soft launch at The Village.
  2. Saturday, Oct. 3: Meridian Oktoberfest downtown at Idaho Avenue and 2nd Street, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  3. Sunday, Oct. 4: The season's final Sunday Market at Storey Park, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  4. Monday, Oct. 5: The Harvest Edition of the Monday Night Market at Storey Park, 4 to 9 p.m.
  5. Friday, Oct. 9, 10 a.m.: The expansion's official celebration starts with a Solidcore x Kendra Scott wellness activation, followed by pop-up giveaways and entertainment across the new buildings.
  6. Oct. 9–11: The Tecovas grand opening party, with line dancing and custom hat and boot giveaways. The first 50 guests each day get a gift bag with a custom YETI, no purchase necessary. The store's event listing also names live music from Will Burton and Dave Nudo. Kendra Scott is hosting its own grand opening events through that weekend.

The Main Street Market outside City Hall keeps running Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Oct. 17. That means the Saturday downtown market and the new Village stores overlap for the first three weekends of October.

The winter version of the expansion

After Oct. 11, openings are spaced out. Paris Baguette is aiming for Oct. 28. Tempur-Pedic, which was also supposed to open at the grand opening, has no new date. Flower Child, Solidcore, Vuori and 7th Avenue are expected to follow in the weeks after the first wave. Apple and the 5,550-square-foot Williams Sonoma store are on the roster with no public timing.

The center's events page currently lists nothing past the end of October. No 2026 tree lighting, ice rink schedule or holiday program has been announced yet. Two items are already set for next year: Pottery Barn in 2027 and full completion in February 2027.

Through the holidays, then, the new Eagle Road frontage will be a row of first-in-Idaho shops, a fitness studio and, if it holds its date, a bakery-café. The gastropub patios, the steakhouse and the wine bar will arrive afterward, with dates still to be announced.

The Village is about to become a different kind of neighbor for the homes around Eagle Road and Fairview, and we'll keep tracking each opening as it's confirmed. If you're curious how a growing retail and dining hub nearby fits into your own plans for your Meridian home, Valentine Realty is happy to talk it through over coffee, maybe at Paris Baguette once it opens.
